It borders Gyeongsangbuk-do to the east, Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheongnam-do to the west,
Gangwon-do to the north, and Jeollabuk-do to the south. The flower symbolizing the province is
the white magnolia, the tree is the zelkova tree, and the bird is the magpie.
